Tees Valley Careers is a website portal developed as the region’s go-to career hub, supporting a dedicated careers team who support local educational providers in implementing high-quality careers advice and guidance.
The service was launched by Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen with the aim to have over 1,000 businesses in the region engaging with young people to directly inform and educate on their upcoming career decisions.
The service works with a wide range of schools, colleges and employers across the Tees Valley region to ensure young people are fully aware of all the career opportunities available to them within the region.
Tees Valley Careers wanted a fresh new look for their careers hub that engaged with a younger audience.
The new website needed to feature key sections for visitors to find information and guidance quickly depending on their needs. Each career pathway required their own section on the website so visitors can find the right information for the level of study or career they are searching for.
As video content is critical for engaging with a younger audience and as such the new website needed to feature an area to host inspiring video content in one place, which can also link directly through to the platforms’ YouTube channel.
Tees Valley Careers also host and attends a section of careers events across the region. The new website required an events module to display upcoming events.

Hush developed a new, fully responsive design with mobile in mind, making sure that the target audience of Tees Valley Careers had access to the site in the most popular of viewing devices. Each segment of the site was built to dynamically respond to the device it is viewed on via an attractive block design.
The new website featured key areas for every level of learning and careers with clean and clear signposting throughout the site.
