As a new venture, Porcelain Paving Direct had no online presence and required full creative support from start to finish.
With ambitious goals for their first year, PPD needed a professional but powerful digital presence that would effectively market and sell the stunning range of porcelain paving.
It was also important that the website was able to handle a number of complex functions to handle the specific product, payment and shipping setup, so a straightforward ‘out of the box’ solution would not suffice.
As well as the core brand and website requirements, PPD also needed ongoing marketing support to ensure the website performance is continually monitored and maximised.
The team at Hush Digital took Porcelain Paving Direct from an initial idea to a fully fledged online shop.
Starting with complete brand development, Hush’s design team crafted a new identity to provide PPD with a new logo and supporting brand palette. It was important for the brand to be strong but simplistic as well as encapsulating a sense of quality and assurance, so we created a clean, abstract style visual in a rich colour palette.
The website boasts a stunning bespoke front-end design, complete with photography and videography support to provide engaging new still and dynamic visual content throughout key banner, showcase and call to action areas. Hush assisted with both studio product shots and location shoots to produce new, quality image and video content to be utilised across the website and other digital marketing activity.
Due to the complex back-end requirements, Hush developed a bespoke system on the powerful Laravel framework. The site needed to feature products from multiple suppliers, each with their own shipping rates, so a bespoke system was required to create the appropriate calculations. Some shipping services also incurred surcharges, so custom product splits and supplier variations also needed to be catered for.
We also developed a bespoke discount system to allow discounts to be created for specific customers or products. In addition, we needed discounted shipping on selected products if other specific products were ordered. Product pricing needed to calculate the price per metre based on a full pallet of the product including shipping, and the site also required a calculator to allow a customer to work out how much product is required for a given area, and show how many tiles this equates to to assist with easy ordering.
The result? A beautiful and powerful new website that showcases a wide range of products and provides any easy and enjoyable online shopping experience for customers, seamlessly calculating all the necessary figures and discounts without any fuss for the front-end user. Following launch, Hush have commenced a focussed digital marketing strategy to ensure the new website performs inline with all desired goals and target for year one and beyond.
