Balance Gateshead is the official health and wellbeing brand of Gateshead Health. The website aims to provide a go-to place for all things health and wellbeing-related and is accessible anytime from anywhere.
The team provides support across various areas of wellbeing. To help simplify this and make it more easily-accessible, they split support offerings across self-care as well as physical, mental, social, environmental and financial wellbeing.
NHS Gateshead required a new microsite to enable staff to find information and guidance to support their health and wellbeing. The aim was also to sell NHS Gateshead to potential recruits to further develop the Balance branding.
Therefore, the design and development team were briefed on a bespoke website design tailored to the client’s preferences, key website goals and target users. For this project, we envisaged a clean visual that was to be engaging and clearly sign-posted with minimal clicks.
Hush produced a finished result that is incredibly user-friendly to structure around the key domains of health and wellbeing. With a mobile-first approach, responsiveness and the overall user journey is kept in mind at all stages of the navigation process.
Simple navigation is present across the website and clear drop-down menus and a prominent search area feature in the design.
Built on the intuitive WordPress platform, the build and integration of a site-wide search function, social media, video embedding, SEO optimisation and page builder functionality enables website managers to easily build new pages and sub-sections.
The website is also fully future-proofed for ongoing developments to ensure the site can grow and develop inline with the client’s needs.
