Meet Our Digital Marketing Manager, Chris!

16 Jan 2018

What better way to kick off the new year than with a new HushBot? Say hello to Digital Marketing Manager, Chris! As a former client at Redcar & Cleveland College, Chris already knew how the HushBot’s worked and loved the way we do digital, so when the opportunity to join the team came up, Chris jumped at the idea.

Armed with ten years’ experience in both online and offline marketing strategies, and an impressive Masters Degree in Marketing Management, Chris is more than well equipped for heading up the Digital Marketing Team at Hush.

So after a couple of weeks settling into his new role, we thought it was time you got to know Chris a little bit better!

What do you love most about marketing?
No two days are the same and the job is so varied. There are so many different aspects of marketing and digital is just one of them!

What made you want to go 100% digital?
I think digital is where the trends are going and the way the world is moving. I have a love for all things digital, it is forever evolving. When I was younger we didn’t have social media, so I’ve grown up with the rise of Facebook, Twitter and all of the big social media channels, it’s interesting to see how they’ve developed into the phenomenon they are today.

How does it feel to go from client to HushBot?
Really exciting. Having already been a Hush client I had an inkling of how it works, so it’s nice to transition over and officially be a part of the team!

What are you most looking forward to about your new role?
Now that I’ve settled in and familiarised myself with the clients, I’m excited to get stuck in and drive the department forward in 2018, as well as develop the team further with my experience and knowledge of digital. And of course getting to know the team more and more each day, which is great too!

Highlights of your career so far?
I was Digital Marketing Executive at Ramsdens Financial Limited. Their new site, which I project managed, was nominated for Best New Financial Services website. It was nominated as it took the pawnbroking and financial services sector online for the first time. A customer could do pretty much everything they would do in a branch online, so it opened up the company to new markets in places they didn’t operate a branch in.

I also completed my Masters in Marketing Management in 2010, which is one of my greatest achievements to date! It was tough and took three years to complete as I worked full-time, but it was a huge stepping stone in my career and all of the hard work has paid off!
